Pre-drive briefing / Kyiv / Cohort 04

Advanced road awareness for drivers who already drive

Private advanced road-awareness training in three modes: theory instruction, simulation drills, and supervised road technique. Built for experienced drivers, not licence preparation.

Simulation is a training aid. Practical skill still needs supervised practice and lawful on-road hours.

Module 01 / Skills diagnostic

Baseline versus target across three awareness areas

Scores come from a supervised 40 minute intake drive on mixed city and ring road routes. The instructor records every area on a 0 to 5 scale, then repeats the assessment at the end of each module.

Instructor scoring, 0 to 5. Baseline is the intake drive; target is the course goal.
Awareness area Baseline Target Gap
Scanning rhythmMirror and lane sweep every 5 to 8 seconds 2.4 4.3 +1.9
Following distanceGap held to the vehicle ahead at 50 and 90 km/h 2.1 4.0 +1.9
Hazard predictionReading junctions, parked rows and pedestrian sightlines early 1.9 3.8 +1.9

Module track / 3 stages

Three modules, run in a fixed order

Theory gives the vocabulary. Simulation rehearses the decisions. Supervised road work tests them at real speed. Durations are per learner and do not change between cohorts.

  1. Road awareness theory

    90 min
    Theory

Hazard scanning patterns, following distance at different speeds, night and wet-surface judgement, and the legal limits Ukrainian roads actually enforce.

  2. Simulation lab

    120 min
    Simulation

Fixed-base scenarios replayed with a written breakdown: hazard detected, reaction window, following distance, instructor note. Each learner runs three scenarios twice.

  3. Road technique

    4 × 60 min
    Practical

Supervised city and highway sessions with a debrief after each drive. Skills are practised in traffic, not promised as a fixed outcome.

Module 02SimulationReplay evidence

Every simulated run ends with a second-by-second replay

The lab log records the hazard, the reaction window and the instructor note attached to it, so progress is measured rather than assumed. Simulation is a training aid; road skill still needs supervised practice.

Named instructors, signed session notes

Every module is led by a named instructor who writes the feedback you take home. Read the profiles before you book so you know who is assessing your road awareness.

  • Oleksandr Tkachenko

    Lead instructor, road technique

14 years instructingCategories B and C3,200 supervised hours

Works on Kyiv ring roads and uncontrolled intersections, plus night sessions on unlit regional routes. Concentrates on following distance and mirror discipline at speed.

  • Iryna Bondar

    Theory and hazard perception

9 years teaching adult driversTraffic psychologyGroup sizes of six

Builds the theory sessions around reading tram lanes, school-zone crossings and winter surface changes. Reviews each driver's hazard log line by line.

  • Dmytro Savchenko

    Simulation lab

6 years in the labScenario designReplay debriefs

Writes the simulation scenarios and runs the replay breakdowns, with attention to intercity corridor merges and low-visibility braking. Notes what the drill can and cannot show.

Indicative course fees

Private advanced road-awareness training for experienced drivers. Scope is confirmed after a consultation and a short review of your driving history.

All fees are quoted in UAH. Simulation is a training aid only; practical skills require supervised practice and lawful on-road experience.

Talk to an instructor before you book

A 20 minute call covers your driving history, the awareness gaps you want to work on, and which module sequence fits. Foundation, Signature and Fleet pricing is confirmed after that call, not before.
